The more to the west, the mountains become less high, then branches into rows of mountain children. The highest point in Afghanistan, Nowshak, is 7485 m above sea level. Most of the country are dry, and the water supply is limited. Afghanistan has a land climate, with very hot conditions in the summer and when the situation is extremely cold winters.
